Portland City: Re-Imagined
Paintings & Photographs
April 1 - 31, 2019
UMVA Gallery @ Portland Media Center
516 Congress Street
Painter Rabee Kiwan and photographer Bob Riemann present "Portland City: Re-Imagined."
Accomplished Portland artists, Rabee and Bob introduce new elements to the city's iconic sculptures
and to its buildings, streets, alleys and cultural life.
They render the city in delightful and dynamic ways.
Both artists wander through the city noting the lines and colors, the atmosphere and everyday life.
Rabee is a Portland physician from Lebanon who loves to interpret his adopted city on canvas.
Bob is a former mid-western journalist who juxtaposes angles and street scenes,
adds new color and captures Portland in new lights.
From emotionally-charged paintings to inventive photographs,
visitors to "Portland City: Re-Imagined" will encounter strikingly beautiful and often poetic images
as they travel with two very talented artists through a city that is both familiar and unfamiliar.
